Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-A.J. Quartermaine, General Hospital) is about to release a book called Success Factor X, which includes interviews with many of daytime's hottest stars.

Sean Kanan has shown off his acting skills as A.J. Quartermaine on General Hospital and as Deacon Sharpe on both The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and Restless, and now he's about to flex his muscles as an author.

The former daytime star has teamed up with author Jill Liberman for a new book called Success Factor X, an upbeat compilation of "highly accomplished people sharing tips and advice based on their lives and personal journeys."

While the topic of Kanan's book is interesting in and of itself, soap opera fans will be happy to hear that Success Factor X features interviews from 50 different contributors, including Steve Burton (Jason Morgan, General Hospital; ex-Dylan McAvoy, Y&R), Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio, GH; ex-Colin Atkinson, Y&R), Corbin Bernsen (Father Todd Williams, Y&R), Kimberlin Brown (ex-Sheila Carter, B&B/Y&R), Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget Forrester, B&B), Kate Linder (Esther Valentine, Y&R), Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, All My Children), and Antonio Sabato Jr. (ex-Jagger Cates, GH).

Write Liberman and Kanan on the book's official website: "This project represents a labor of love. We are truly grateful for the success that we have achieved and the opportunity to give back. It is our hope that this book will encourage you to define success in new and varied ways. Success can be daunting. We all experience challenges, struggles, and disappointments. This is our way to pay it forward and remind you that you can accomplish and become anything. We are proud to donate a portion from the sale of each book to the American Red Cross, the world's preeminent humanitarian organization providing emergency assistance and disaster relief wherever needed."

Kanan took to Twitter to announce his new project, writing, "So excited that Success Factor X will be available for presale in a few weeks."
